SPRING RETREAT
On Friday, our youth group will take off for Spring Retreat. This is one of the best events all year. Join us in praying for our students and leaders. We are praying for encounters with Jesus that will leave them forever changed.
 
Thank you for loving and investing in our young people!
 
WHO ARE YOU LEADING TO JESUS?
On Sunday, the challenge from 1 Peter 2:12 was: Who can you lead to Jesus? Peter urged those early church Christians to live such good lives before people that those people would see their good actions and give glory to God!
 
I would love to hear those stories. Who is the Holy Spirit putting in your path this week? How have you been challenged to intentionally lead people to Jesus?
 
Francis Shaffer – the great apologist – said this: “If I had one hour to share the gospel with someone, I would spend 55 minutes listening and 5 minutes talking.” Don’t minimize the speaking part! We definitely need to use our words to tell others about Jesus. However, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
 
Here are a few tips for leading people to Jesus:

1. Make a list with names of people who you know, but who do not yet have a relationship with Jesus. Prayerfully consider: Lord, who are you putting in my life to lead to you?
2. Pray over the list, daily. Even if it’s just one name. Pray for opportunities to share with them what Jesus has done in your life.
3. Listen to them. Try to find ways where God is at work in their life, even if they can’t see it.
4. Point out where God is at work, and use that as an opportunity to share about the difference Jesus has made in your life.
5. Listen more. Walk with them. Care for them. Pray for them.
6. Repeat.
