Weekly Update

We welcome Esther Zapana and family to GCN!

This past Sunday, we announced that Esther is our new GCN Kids Ministry Director. Thank you for praying over the future of GCN Kids Ministry these past several months.

Esther grew up here in Gaithersburg. She loves Jesus, loves working with kids and families, and will be a great fit in this role. Continue to pray for the future as we continue to invest in the next generation. Esther’s first official Sunday as Kids Ministry Director is Sunday, July 5th. The best is yet to come!

This series through the book of Ruth is a reminder to us, as a church, that God is actively at work in the middle of ordinary life, if we have eyes to see it. God is actively using us to bring salvation to people in the middle of ordinary life, if we have lives that are surrendered to Him.

We can’t control the outcomes or timeline, but we can control our input! We can trust Jesus, obey His word, and share the good news of Jesus with the people who are in front of us today.

Here are some ways we can do this…

1. Baby Bottle Campaign. It’s the last week to give towards Shady Grove Pregnancy Center. You can CLICK HERE to give online. Or, bring your baby bottles back (with cash or check inside), by this Sunday.
2. Stewartown Summer Camp. July 28-31. You can sign up your K-5th Grader no later than June 28th,  by CLICKING HERE. Invite your neighbors, friends, etc.!
3. Connect with others / Don’t do life alone! Be a part of our Summer Fun Groups. Ultimate Frisbee (this Friday!) Cookout at the Caves (this Saturday!), a book club (this coming Tuesday, 6/23, at Susie Searles’ house), and so much more. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL LIST OF ALL GROUPS.
