Weekly Update

The Church is Life Support. The Church shows the world what unity and grace and forgiveness looks like.

That was part of the message this past Sunday. If you didn’t get a chance to hear Pastor Kelly’s message, go back and listen this week.

In 1 Peter 3:8, one of the things Peter urges those early church Christians to do is to be like-minded. He’s not talking about surrounding ourselves with people who always agree about everything. He’s talking about being like-minded on our devotion to Jesus. Our purpose is all glory to Jesus. Our pursuit is our lives surrendered to Jesus. Our mission is lead other people to Jesus.

If we are like-minded on the centrality of Jesus in our lives, then we can disagree about a lot of things and still have the same mind. Amen!

Much Love,

Pastor Brian

The Big Things Coming Up…

  1. Membership Lunch. Sunday, May 17th. CLICK HERE to register. It’s a free lunch for anyone who is interested in learning more about GCN. This is especially designed for those who are interested in taking a next step and becoming a member of GCN. (However, there is no requirement or expectation of membership just because you take the class).
  2. Mother’s Day at GCN. This Sunday, May 10th. For those who are in Christ, Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate all the women in the life of the church. In Christ, being a mother is not limited to biological offspring. Instead, Jesus has adopted us into this great big family. I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of adopted moms, aunts, and sisters, in Christ! This Sunday, we’ll have a special, delicious treat for all ladies (of all ages). Arrive early.
  3. Summer Ministry Intern, Sydney Cochran, will be arriving soon! Sydney is finishing up her sophomore year at Regent University, and we are so glad she’s joining us again this summer!
  4. Mission Trip to Puerto Cortes, Honduras. September 14-23, 2026. We have been partnering with Cocal Gracias ministry in Honduras for many years. If you are interested in being a part of our next mission trip this fall, CLICK HERE to submit the interest form. Or, contact Pastor Kevin (pastorkevin@gburgnaz.org)
