Weekly Update

Hola GCN Familia!
 
Our GCN Honduras Mission Trip Team is really excited to be able to share some of the amazing things God did in Honduras this coming Sunday morning at GCN! We are praying that the stories, updates, testimonies and pictures that will be shared in the worship service will encourage, bless and inspire everyone who hears them.  In addition to that, it is my prayer that everyone would realize that God invites all of us to discover the spiritual gifts and unique passions that He puts in our hearts to be used to bless the church, our community and the world we live in!

For me personally, I love to watch how God works in the lives of those who make the decision to go serve on a mission trip.  I get a front row seat to watch people step out in faith, love sacrificially and grow as a follower of Christ.  It is always amazing to see how God uses and transforms us when we are willing to say “yes” to His invitation to serve.

I’ve seen people discover gifts they didn’t know they had, step into uncomfortable situations that bloom into beautiful blessings, and develop a deeper understanding of God’s heart for all people. Sometimes a mission trip changes the way we see the world, but even more than that, it changes the way we see ourselves and the part God wants us to play in His story in our every day lives.

My hope is that Sunday won’t simply be a time for us to hear about what God did in Honduras, but that it will also be an opportunity for each of us to ask, “God, what are You inviting me into?” Maybe He is calling you to go on a future mission trip. Maybe He is calling you to serve right here at GCN or in our local community. Maybe He is stirring a new passion or showing you a gift that He wants you to use in a new way.

Wherever God is leading, my prayer is that we would be a church family that is willing to say, “Yes, Lord. Here I am. Use me.”

We can’t wait to share what God has done and to celebrate together this Sunday morning! Please come ready to worship, listen, celebrate and allow God to speak to your heart.
