2nd Sunday of Advent / Toy Drive
Hi Church Family,
Here’s a hope-filled Advent thought that I’m borrowing from our friend, Naomi: God is close to us. Go share that hope with the world! If you didn’t get a chance to see Naomi’s Advent reflection, CLICK HERE TO CHECK THAT OUT.
I’m looking forward to Sunday #2 of Advent. Take a moment to read and reflect on Isaiah 40:1-9. What do you think about the first two words of this chapter? “Comfort, comfort.” In what ways do you need God’s comfort in your life right now?
Take a moment to invite someone to join you tomorrow for our time together. So many people struggle with loneliness. So many people are in desperate need of belonging to a community of people striving to be more like Jesus. This is what the church is. Invite people into this. It’s an act of love!
Bring a wrapped TOY and/or a $25 GIFT CARD (Amazon, Walmart, or Target) with you tomorrow! Our goal is to collect 60 toys and 60 gift cards so we can bless our neighborhood. Thanks for being generous.
You are loved. God is coming to us. In Christ, you are never alone.
Pastor Brian
