Weekly Update
GCN Family,
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
What if we did everything in the name of Jesus? To do something in someone’s name is to do it in their character and under their authority. We talked about this a little this past Sunday. The book of Acts is full of stories of early believer doing everything in Jesus’ name and by the power of His Spirit. We have the exact same access to the exact same thing.
Commute to work in Jesus’ name.
Grocery shop in Jesus’ name.
Navigate difficult conversations in Jesus’ name.
Parent in Jesus’ name.
Do your work in Jesus’ name.
Study in Jesus’ name.
Everything, always, in Jesus’ name.
My prayer for us today: Lord, we receive your Spirit. We live and move and have our being in You. Help us to have eyes to see it. As we receive your grace and mercy today, give us strength and intentionality to extend that grace and mercy to others. Help us to love people like you love people. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
A few more things…
Much love,
Pastor Brian
