Advent Arrives
Hi Church Family,
This Sunday marks the first Sunday of Advent. I would say, “I can’t wait”…but Advent is all about waiting. If I had to name the #1 thing I’m looking forward to this Advent season, it would have to be journeying through the same scriptures and devotions with you all. Most of you received your copy of Joy of Every Longing Heart, the devotional for this season. I’m praying and believing that this act of opening the scriptures together, as a church family, will be a formational and powerful time for us.
Here is how you can engage with your church and neighborhood this Advent:
Coming Soon…
New Website, new Mobile App, new Giving Platform! In the coming weeks we will launch our new website and mobile app. Last Sunday we began inviting everyone to use the Subsplash giving platform. For many of you, you give through a recurring gift in our online giving platform, CCB. This means that, if you give through CCB, you’ll need to cancel that action and then sign up through Subsplash. For all the instructions and information you need, go to the GIVING PAGE ON OUR WEBSITE. Our goal is to have all our online giving moved to Subsplash before December 31st. Thank you for your generosity, as a church. Thank you for making the switch. We believe this will help our church as we endeavor to streamline giving, better steward our resources, and trust Jesus with what’s next!
Much love,
Pastor Brian

Here is how you can engage with your church and neighborhood this Advent:
- Each Wednesday during Advent, beginning today, we’ll post a short video from different GCN-ers, reflecting on one scripture passage from the week. Check those out, including the one below from Pastor Kevin!
- Commit to gathering with your church family each Sunday at 10:30am. Who is God laying on your heart to invite to join you this Sunday? This week, we’ll be looking at Isaiah 6:1-8. What does it mean for God to tear open the heavens and come down?
- Be a part of the Toy Drive and Gift Card Drive! You can purchase a gender-neutral toy ($5ish dollars), wrap it and drop it off in the big gift-wrapped box in the foyer at GCN. Consider picking up a $25 gift card (or multiple gift cards) to Walmart, Amazon, or Target. You can place those in the locked drop box next to the large gift-wrapped box in the foyer.
- Be on the lookout for ways you can be generous with this year’s Christmas Blessing Offering. More to come!
- Be still. Wait on the Lord. Pray. Bonus: Take a chilly prayer walk in your neighborhood and pray for the families inside each home.
- Invite others to join you for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service and Experience! December 24th @ 5pm.
